Nestled amongst the splendid green hills of the upper Maremma, 300 meters above sea level, sits the town of Civitella Marittima.

The town is located only 30 km from Siena, 9 km from the hot springs of Petriolo, 20 km from Montalcino (home of the famous Brunello wine), 40 km from Montepulciano and Pienza and 30 km from Grosseto, the capital city of our province.
The 'Casa di Nonna Clarina' is a classic Tuscan home, antique but completely renovated; the stones of the facade have been restored to their natural color, in the interior, the original handmade terracotta bricks have been exposed and the ceilings all have wooden beams. The house is three storeys high.
On the ground floor is the entry, while on the first floor the kitchen, sitting room and bathroom, all very bright, can be found.
On the second floor there are two bedrooms, one with a terrace overlooking relaxing green hills with olive trees and Mediterranean scrub and a view of Mount Amiata. An ideal spot for pleasant, open-air relaxation.
The house can easily accommodate from two to five guests. Bed and table linens and towels are supplied. The efficient independent heating system is methane-powered. Available for the guests: a Colour Tv in the living room and a hairdryer in the bathroom.
The house is located five minutes from a public transportation stop: RAMA (http://www.griforama.it/) and TRAIN (http://www.trainspa.it/en/home.html). If you?re arriving by car there is ample parking available just a few meters from the house.
